The LTFRB Region 4 conducted Tree Planting Activities as per Office No. 2017-225 and in support to RA 8749 otherwise known as the Philippine Clean Air Act of 1999. It was held once a month from August to November in Talaibon, Malvar and Sto Tomas, all in the province of Batangas. DENR- CENRO Lipa City officials provide the Regional Office with more than 500 seedlings of which comprises of narra, molave, and acacia. They have already started identifying safety sites where the seedlings will be placed. All of the Regional Office employees participated in the activity, and several transport groups, as well.  It was a very fulfilling deed as the employees work together to care for Mother Nature.

Due to their unending desire to intensify anti colorum operations, LTFRB Region 4 regularly conducts inspection to different areas in CALABARZON and MIMAROPA. Those carrying passengers are checked if they have proper documents, such as a copy of the franchise or permit.Authorities also apprehend buses, jeeps, and vans that lack proper markings. Currently, 48 public utility vehicles are apprehended and impounded in the regional office compound from July 2016 up to date. Total collected penalty from impounded vehicles summed to Php 3, 800, 000.

Through the objective of LTFRB to re-familiarize drivers and operators with basic road safety, driving courtesy, and traffic rules, LTFRB Region 4 already had 2, 253 participants to the PUV Driver’s Academy. The seminar training is replicated in LTFRB regional office and even in Lucban Quezon and Cabuyao, Laguna to provide learning to those who cannot come to the regional office.
