With the launching of the nationwide LTFRB PUV Drivers’ Academy last August 17, 2017, the LTFRB Regional Office No. XI (Davao Region) kickstarted its series of seminars for all the drivers of public utility vehicles within the region.

As of this date, a total of One Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty Eight (1,988) PUV drivers had undergone the training, majority of whom passed the examinations conducted thereafter. The lectures, consisting of various modules, focus mainly on LTFRB policies like the Terms and Conditions of the grant of Certificate of Public Convenience (CPC), Road Safety, Good Manners in Driving, Traffic Signs and Pavement Markings, and Road Rage and Anger Management.

This program, being held every Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, aims to enhance the character and upgrade the competence and skills of our public utility drivers to ensure the safety and comfort of the riding public, thereby preventing unnecessary loss of lives, and teach public utility drivers to review their knowledge on basic traffic regulations being enforced on the road.

Through this program, we hope to achieve our mission of ensuring safe, convenient, reliable and dependable public land transport services by investing on our drivers.
