The LTFRB-NCR team is one with the Board in ensuring that the agency’s mandate is fulfilled to serve the interest of its stakeholders, most especially the riding public.
But apart from meeting the demands of the Regional Office’s daily operations, LTFRB – NCR is also committed to actively participate in the other programs of the Board. Hence, this Regional Franchising and Regulatory Office (RFRO) has likewise busied itself in the following activities:
kNowledge is Power!
Assisting public utility drivers in gaining additional knowledge, LTFRB-NCR conducts regular sessions for its Drivers’ Academy. Held every Tuesdays and Thursdays, several batches of PUV drivers have already undergone this training under the new modules. To uphold the integrity of the training program, limited participants per batch is encouraged so that each participant is given a classroom atmosphere for better understanding. To date, more than four hundred (400) PUV drivers have already participated.
Committed against Colorum
LTFRB-NCR conducts daily anti-colorum operations to ensure that the riding public is provided with safe transport service only by legitimate operators. For this year, LTFRB-NCR enforcers have apprehended and impounded a total of thirty four (34) colorum vehicles, aside from those apprehended during the joint I-ACT operations.
Albeit the daily demands of their respective work to provide genuine public service, LTFRB-NCR employees have not forgotten to do its share to the environment and help save Mother Earth. Tree planting activities were conducted in Payatas, Quezon City with over a thousand seedlings planted, and over three thousand mangrove during a similar activity in Malabon.
