Amidst the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (CoViD-19) pandemic and the recent Typhoon Ulysses that hit CALABARZON, modernization of Public Utility Vehicles (PUV) continue to push through showing tremendous determination in LTFRB’s belief that the program can be implemented with the help of our stakeholders to achieve the greater good for the public land transportation system.
The LTFRB REGION 4, led by Regional Director Col. Renwick K. Rutaquio (Ret.), with Silang Transport Service Development Cooperative (STSDC), launched 23 Modern PUJ Class 2 units under Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) today, 13 November 2020, at the STSDC Office in Silang, Cavite.
STSDC was awarded the Dropping/Substitution order for the 23 Class 2 Modern PUJ units that ply the Silang – Zapote route. The PUJ units are equipped with Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS), CCTV, speed limiter, and Wi-Fi.

The PUV Modernization Program is the flagship, non-infrastracture program of the administrationof President Rodrigo Roa Duterte with the goal of providing a comfortable life for all Filipino through a safe, reliable, convenient, affordable, and environmentally-sustainable public transportation system in the country.
