Ltfrb 3 launched its Drivers Academy last May 31,2017. It currently holds its trainings thrice a week during mondays, wednesdays and thursdays. It can accommodate as much as 100 participants every training session, after which the participants will  be taking the exam to qualify for the issuance of a Certificate of Completion of the course. Those who fail the exam are given the opportunity to retake the course every fridays.

As of November 9, 2017, LTFRB 3 was able to train at least 3,084 participants. This activity is highly encouraged as it enables the drivers and operators to effectively serve the needs of the riding public by knowing the basic terms and conditions of the franchise necessary to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with the rules.

Another activity conducted by LTFRB 3 this year was the Tree Planting Program. Ltfrb 3, in coordination with th3 DENR officials, planted at least 7500 seedlings consisting of narra, bamboo, coffee and fruit-bearings seedlings in the designated areas in Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Bulacan and Nueva Ecija.

This program is aimed at addressing the pollution that the transport industry may have contributed in the environment and the community as a whole.

Moreover,  LTFRB 3 intensifies its campaign against illegal operations of colorum vehicles. Currently, there were 43 units apprehended by LTFRB 3, out of which 21 units were already released by their owners upon payment of the penalties. As of now, LTFRB 3 has generated a revenue amounting to 3,450,000 on colorum apprehensions.

This campaign will continue as much as there are existing colorum vehicles on the streets to promote and protect the rights of the law abiding operators to a healthy competition.
